Nov 7th 2008 Northern CA Bear
We put this nice one up last week.
You can't really appreciate this Bears size very well by the pictures due to the day being overcast. It was only about 2:00.
I wish it had been a little earlier though. Because when that bad boy came out these dogs went ballistic chained up 20 feet away! It would have been a great one to re-run!
I'd say it was a good 400 lbs. We let it live to run another day!
My battery died before I could get any good ones of the dogs.
Next time though!

In this last one it's at the bottom of the center of the pic.

Irv,
Your going to either have get a telephoto lens or get up close and personal. just don't try getting to personal , or you may look like Griz. lol

Where's Waldo
. took me awhile but i found him. To be honest it was kinda fun looking . But he does not look much bigger than a walnut to me.

I do not think a telephoto lense would work unless you knew how to use the other functions on the camera as the lense would pick out the limbs and not the bear.
