Shane, Thanks. Appreciate the advice. I've already started with pots and pans.

Took her deer hunting last week and she was deathly afraid to go near any game, only wanted to run the other way (wide eyed, tail between the legs, shaking style). I've never had a plott react this way so not sure how to break her in any suggestions?

Any advice is appreciated...Caligirl.

I rescued my Plott Hound, Bocote, off the side of the road when he was about 6mo, and now he's about 3-1/2. He's decently trained (sit, stay, shake, heel, drop-it, etc.) and he's great when I'm around. My biggest problem with him is that he always wants to give people "kisses".

He's very protective and barks ferociously at people over the fence, no matter how hard I try go get him to stop.

He's also a brilliant escape artist. I need to slide-lock my gates because he knows ...

I just finished reading the new book by Libby Bagby ( Tracking Plott Hound History ). I found it to be very informative and interesting. I would recommend anyone that likes the Plott Hound to purchase one. You will love it. Ms. Bagby has put a great deal of time, effort and money into this book. Sorry. I don't have the info to order it at this time. But I will try to get that later.

We are in Rochester this week and just got the results of Cindy's latest PET scan. The report said excellent response to chemotherapy. When we looked at the pictures from August 11 and compared them to September 21 the results were dramatic, even to the untrained eye. Cindy is having her 3rd treatment now. She will have 3 more treatments with the last one the day before thaksgiving. Then we will repeat the PET scan 4 weeks later. If all looks good at that time she will have CT scans every 3 months ...

Just try to tell me this doesn't give you goose bumps!

Irv

Get a load of these high school kids singing (you hear them but do not see them). At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet, played by a high school kid! One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web. The song, of course, is the' Battle Hymn Of The Republic.' Be prepared - it could send a few shivers up your spine.?
