Shane, Thanks. Appreciate the advice. I've already started with pots and pans.

Took her deer hunting last week and she was deathly afraid to go near any game, only wanted to run the other way (wide eyed, tail between the legs, shaking style). I've never had a plott react this way so not sure how to break her in any suggestions?

Any advice is appreciated...Caligirl.

I rescued my Plott Hound, Bocote, off the side of the road when he was about 6mo, and now he's about 3-1/2. He's decently trained (sit, stay, shake, heel, drop-it, etc.) and he's great when I'm around. My biggest problem with him is that he always wants to give people "kisses".

He's very protective and barks ferociously at people over the fence, no matter how hard I try go get him to stop.

He's also a brilliant escape artist. I need to slide-lock my gates because he knows ...

This one has her own thing going on, maybe she'll decide to do it on her own terms whatever that means.

Started her on the ranch, we'd sit under a tree w/ her on a lead and I'd watch the deer while she would turn her head away. Then tried off lead, but she always wants to hide or run as far away as possible. Moved onto the trails, she's been ok, ...

Just try to tell me this doesn't give you goose bumps!

Irv

Get a load of these high school kids singing (you hear them but do not see them). At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet, played by a high school kid! One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web. The song, of course, is the' Battle Hymn Of The Republic.' Be prepared - it could send a few shivers up your spine.?

I have to say that my wife and I had a blast again this year @ the 2009 NPHA Plott Days! When we left there on Sunday morning, we then traveled to my Dad's place in Virginia, where we stayed until this past Friday night (Aug 7, 2009.)

We left Virginia @ 8:10 P.M. Friday night and arrived home, (California) @ 3:00 A.M. Monday. We stopped in Sheridan Wyoming and slept for 5 hours or we would have made it back sooner.

We had a blast coon hunting in Virginia with my Dad! My wife hadn't ...

Cindy had her 2nd round of chemo wednesday. It went very well. Her doctor was happy with her blood work and very positive. She is feeling good and working everyday. After the 1st round she had a few issues. The day after chemo she gets a shot of Neulasta to boost her blood count. About three days after this she gets a lot of bone pain which slows her down a little. She is on a high dose of predisone for 4 days and she has trouble sleeping. They gave her some new meds to help this and it seems ...

I have a 2 year old dual champion female I would like to breed this spring. I will give you the good and the bad.

GOOD- early starter, treed her first coon at 10 months. Quick strike dog. Usually 1st or 2nd strike in honest company. Quick tree dog with a great locate. Will take pressure and get split sometimes. Decent mouth-squall on track chop on tree. Not a mean hair on her. Straight as an arrow. She treed a couple of possums when young but hasn't treed one in over a year. Cream has introduced a new flavor: "Barocky Road."

Barocky Road is a blend of half vanilla, half chocolate, and surrounded
