IS IT POSSIBLE TO BREAK A GUN SHY DOG?

Can't get my 1 year old female to get over gun shot. What's up with that? Any advice? Thanks.

Cali girl almost all ways curable . Small increments of noise while distractions . Such as pots and pans while feeding ( can use tape recordings and such. Sometimes the gun will get a reaction from the dog if so get the dog comfortable with it . Maybe just firing primers and such at first.
