I hope I have come to a place that can help me. This is very important to me.

Years ago, possibly even before I was born...so that would be prior to 1964 and definitely before Aug of 1967 because that is when my Grandfather died, he was featured on the front of a Plott Hound Magazine.

It was a very simple picture of him and his favorite Plott Queenie. They were standing next to a tree. I can not remember if the dog kennel was pictured or not. Grandpa was quite tall.

When I was a young man my parents had the front cover left and that was pretty much the only thing I knew about my Grandpa as he died when I was three. Unfortunately when my parents passed away and I went through their belongings I could not find the Cover.

I don't even know the name of the magazine and I know that I am looking for a needle in a hay-stack but I thought I would try here and see if any of you may have run across my needle...LOL

My Grandfather's name: Emmett D. Johnston. He was living somewhere in Ohio at the time. It would mean a great deal to me if I could find an old copy of it, or even find an archived copy on the net.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I have a full set of the NPHA yearbooks and have looked at those within that time frame. 1959 through 67 and only 1966 has a man on the cover. I'm not sure who it is, but he is holding a Plott dog and there is a large wild boar hanging up.His name is also not listed in the membership list. Maybe some of the older members could help you out.
