Who Would You Breed to?
I have a 2 year old dual champion female I would like to breed this spring. I will give you the good and the bad.
GOOD- early starter, treed her first coon at 10 months. Quick strike dog. Usually 1st or 2nd strike in honest company. Quick tree dog with a great locate. Will take pressure and get split sometimes. Decent mouth-squall on track chop on tree. Not a mean hair on her. Straight as an arrow. She treed a couple of possums when young but hasn't treed one in over a year. Never any fast game.
BAD- Doesn't hunt well alone-hunts close. Not a real hard tree dog. Not as independent as I would like. Not as fast on track as I would like. A little more grit wouldn't hurt.
Here is her pedigree:
.........................PR Hill's Plott Soloman
....................Nite CH PR Bear Pen Piney River Wrangler
.........................PR Hill's Plott Bell
............PR Barth's Solid Rock
.........................CH NITE CH PR Coon Pushin Dozer
....................PR Beals R&R Midnight Star
.........................PR Coon Pushin Bayou Star
Ch Nite CH PR Doc's Plott Becky II(Sis)
.........................GrNiteCH PR Garrison's Brindle Ranger
....................GR NITE CH PR Middlefork Sonny
.........................PR Cedar Creek Sizzlin Brandy
..........GRCH NiteCH PR Doc's Plott Illinois BEcky
.........................PR Bates Black River Tucker
....................PR Middlefork Nite Pressure
.........................PR Dogwood Creek Kansas Sally
I have some ideas. I was just wondering what you all would breed her to. Thanks for your help.

Tim ~ By no stretch of the imagination am I an expert here. I simply know that if it was me, I'd get her a dose of Pocahontas or Blackwater blood up in her
Either one is sure to add the Grit as well as speed and Tree Power.
good Luck!

Well Sis finally cane in heat in July. This morning she had 6 beautiful brindle babies. I decided to breed her to Kyle Emery's Dual Grand Kyle's Redwood Brindle Rock. Here is mama and pups. I have high hopes for these pups.

Nice looking litter Doc! I was laughing as I read your post because I know of a dog that used to be in Iowa that fits your criteria. Good luck with the pups. I know my dad really likes his Rock pup. She'll get a few coons down to here this coon season
