We live on Lake Applachia outside Murphy, NC in the middle of nowhere & have been looking for a dog to be a family pet to walk with us in the mountains, we plan to do the AT in sessions & also a dog with the intelligence to can pass Dog Obedience Level 1 & 2 at the local Cole Nose College, by Lisa Waggoner and to become certified as a Good Manners dog to visit the Veteran's Hospital in Asheville where Cokie goes for all his medical care. Would you guys recommend a Plott as a candidate? Can you recommend a breeder who concentrates on disposition?
Thanks Mj & Cokie

One thing that I know you would love about the Plott hound is their loyalty to there owners and others...They are very intelligent hounds with love of hunting and love of their owners...I think this would be a great idea....Perkey
